Advantages of Cat5e Patch Cables
Cat5E Patch Cables are the enhanced version of Category 5 Patch Cables, and go along the same lines as basic Cat5 network cables. The difference between the two is that Cat 5e network cables fulfill higher standards of data transmission.
While Cat5 network cables are common in existing cabling systems, Category 5e network cables have almost entirely replaced Cat5 in new installations. We provide Cat5E Patch Cables used for network cabling, includes shielded, crossover, flat and solid patch cables and so on.
Cat5e network cables is still widely used in infrastructure, construction, industrial fields, correlates are stable support network transmission, effectively providing gigabit Ethernet, the smooth operation of various applications of web based data communication cable (also called “string”). Cat5e network cabling is used as a cabling infrastructure for 10BASE-T (Ethernet), full duplex 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet) and 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet, or GbE) networks.
The Cat 5e standard provides performance of up to 100 MHz and can be used up to a maximum length of 100 meters. As with Category 5 (Cat-5) cables, Cat5e cables typically are consisted of four unshielded twisted pairs (UTP) of copper wire terminated by RJ45 connectors.
Cat5e is distinguished from the original Cat 5 standard primarily in its performance requirements. Cat5e has stricter specifications in a number of areas, including Near-End Crosstalk (NEXT), Power Sum Equal-Level Far-End Crosstalk (PS-ELFEXT), attenuation and return loss.
A newer specification for CAT5 cable – CAT5 enhanced (“CAT5e” or “CAT 5e”) – supports networking at Gigabit Ethernet speeds (up to 1000 Mbps) over short distances by utilizing all four wire pairs, and it is backward-compatible with ordinary CAT5.
If you want to produce their own cat5e cable, we also provide bulk cat5e cable, it is primarily available in 3 different types, each type has a specific application. Bulk solid Category 5 cable, the most commonly used, is comprised of a Riser Rated (CMR) PVC jacket and solid core conductors. Solid core conductors allow the cable to be run long distances. At the same time, solid core conductors will maintain theirs’ performance, but reduces the number of times it can be flexed before breaking.
This makes solid cat5 cable perfect for permanent installation applications (long runs from patch panels to wall plates) where the cable will not move much once installed. Stranded is comprised of a PVC jacket and stranded core conductors making it very flexible. This flexibility allows it to be flexed many times with no negative effects on performance making it perfect for building patch cables.
Plenum (CMP) also has solid core conductors, but is built with a low smoke, fire retardant jacket that make it safe for use in plenum air spaces (check your local building codes for requirements).
