Introduction of the RJ45 and RJ11 interface
RJ45 interface is typically used for data transmission, the most common applications for network interface cards. RJ45 cable plug

RJ11, information sources are contradictory, it can be 2 or 4-core and 6-pin connector. More confusion, RJ11 and not only is used to represent the 6-pin connector, it also refers to the 4-pin version.
Difference between RJ45 and RJ11
Due to the different size of the two (RJ11 4 or 6-pin, RJ45 8-pin connector device), apparently can’t be inserted into the RJ11 jack RJ45 plug. The reverse is physically feasible (RJ11 plug RJ45 jacks), which people mistakenly think that the two should be able to work together. In fact, not the case.
Strongly not recommended for RJ45 jack RJ11 plug
RJ11 is not internationally standardized, its size, the insertion force, insertion angle no uniform connector design requirements in accordance with international standards, and therefore can’t ensure interoperability. They even cause the destruction of both. Due to the RJ11 plug RJ45 jacks, plugs on both sides of the plastic part will damage the metal pin inserted into the jack.
