What is Fiber Cold Splice?

 

The fiber quick splicing connector is also called field assembly connector, means only use simple splicing tools not fusion splicer to realize drop cable terminated. During assembly, no need glue dispensing and polish.

 

The fiber quick splicing connector has two types: straight-through (fiber not pre-embedded) and fiber pre-embedded. Pre-embedded fiber splicing point is inside of the connector, there is matching oil; straight-trough type splicing point is on the surface, no pre-set matching oil, connect fiber directly through the adapter.

According to quick splice connector’s fiber optic mechanical splice theory, at fiber splice point pre-grinding spherical must elastic fit with the scene cut surface, matching fluid/oil is only a supporting role to make up for agent, not be used as a permanent continuation dependent agent.

 

Standard pre-grinding spherical surface integrity, no adverse defects, and when on-site cutting surface elastic fit, the splicing gap must be controlled within micron-scale, also with the help of matching fluid, it will be better splicing performance and reduce splice loss.
