What is UTP Video Balun?
Generally, UTP video balun refers to equipment that match used the unshielded twisted pair to transmit video, audio, power, data when wiring works in a video surveillance system. Unshielded twisted pair is composed of a pair of mutually insulated metallic conductors twisted together with each other according to a certain density, and a conductor in the transmission radio wave radiation will be another radio waves emitted by the root line offset. This can not only resist a part of the electromagnetic interference from the outside world, and can reduce their external signal interference.
CCTV video balun (UTP video transceiver) use the differential transmission principle of twisted pair, at the transmission side, the video signal converted into an equal amplitude and opposite polarity video signal, via a twisted pair transmission, at the receiving end, the two polarity opposite video signal been subtracted and becomes normal video signal, it can effectively suppress common mode interference, with a very strong anti-jamming capability. Even in strong interference environment, it is better than coaxial cable. And via the video signal processing, the transmission of the image signal is also clear than coaxial cable when in long-distance transmission.
