Typical Interfaces of PDH Multiplexer
Typical interfaces of PDH multiplexers mainly include BNC interface, Fiber interface, RJ45 interface, RS232-C interface and RJ11 interface.
BNC interface
The BNC interface is a coaxial cable interface, which is used to connect 75ohm coaxial cable, providing RX, TX two channels to connect non balanced signals.
Fiber interface
Fiber interface is the physical interface, used to connect fiber optical cables. Usually, the fiber interface includes SC, ST, FC and other types. They are developed by Japanese NTT Company. FC is the abbreviation of Ferrule Connector; its external strengthening way is to use a metal sleeve with turnbuckle fastening methods. ST interfaces are usually used to 10Base-F. SC interfaces are usually used to 100Base-FX.
RJ45 interface
RJ45 interface is the most common Ethernet interface. RJ45 is a common name, refers to the IEC (60) 603-7 standard, using 8 position (8 pin) modular jack or plug defined by the international connector standards.

RS232-C interface
RS232-C interface (also known as EIA RS232-C) is the most common kind of serial communication interface. It was in 1970 by the America Electronic Industries Association (EIA) combined with Baer system, modem manufacturers and computer terminal manufacturers jointly formulated for serial communication standard.
Its full name is "data terminal equipment (DTE) and data communications equipment (DCE) between serial binary data interchange standard interface technology". The standard adopts a 25 pin DB25 connector; and it not only defines each pin's signal content of the DB25 connector, but also defines various signal level (with DB9).
RJ11 interface
RJ11 interface is the telephone line interface what we usually talk about. RJ11 is the common name used for the connector developed by the Western Electric Company. Its shape is defined as the 6-pin connector device, formerly known as “WExW”, where x represents the “active”, the contacts or the wire needle.
