How Does the Video Balun Work?
The video signal output from the front port (CCTV camera) is 75Ω and non-balanced manner which suitable for the transmission in coaxial cables. The unshielded twisted pair is the cable of 100Ω and balanced transmission mode. Therefore, video balun designed to convert the 75Ω into 100Ω, and the non-balanced signal into a balanced video signal.
Passive video balun to Passive video balun
The video signal can be directly transmitted in a unshielded twisted pair after converted into a balanced mode, and not easily influenced by various kinds of interference signal. Due to the input port of the DVRs and monitor are unbalanced, at the end port, CCTV baluns convert the balanced signals to unbalanced signals which suitable for DVRs and monitor.
