QSFP+ to SFP+ Cabling Solutions
40 Gigabit Ethernet adapters using contemporary QSFP+ ports and 1 or 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks using existing SFP or SFP+ based cabling. Similarly, Ethernet switches with 40 Gb/s QSFP ports can connect to servers with 10Gb/s Ethernet NIC ports using QSA. Sopto QSA conforms to the SFF-8431 SFP+ and SFF-8436 QSFP+ connector standards and is 100% tested to strict quality requirements.
The adapter is built in QSFP+ form factor with a receptacle for SFP+ cable connector. QSFP+ to SFP+ splitter cables are both single-assembly (cable and tranceiver combined) and dual-assembly (cable and tranceiver separate). The direct-attach hybrid assembly's four hot-pluggable SFP+ connectors are factory-terminated to twin-axial shielded cable to provide superior signal integrity in support 10+Gb/s high frequency data rates The assemblies are impedance matched to ensure interoperability with QSFP+ to SFP+ host ports and minimize insertion loss.
Sopto's QSFP+ to SFP+ interconnects is automated, eliminating assembly variations for consistent and industry leading signal integrity, including a unique termination process that optimizes cross talk and return loss performance, including InfiniBand Ethernet NIC ports as well as Ethernet 10G, 40G (IEEE-802.3ba) and SONET electrical failover 40G links.
They also support Fibre Channel SAN 10G, 40G and SAN; RapidIO and Myrinet 40G systems links. We offer application specific assembly solutions such as varied EEPROM programming options, wire gauges and custom lengths.
On the compute side, we’re pairing the SX1036 with dual-port 10GbE and 40GbE ConnectX-3 EN PCIe 3.0 Ethernet adapters and connecting with the QSFP+ to SFP+ cable, giving our lab a complete end-to-end interconnect solution.
