QSFP+ and SFP+ Combined Components
SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) products support various fiber optic and copper based transceivers and cable assemblies. The SFP+ was designed for Ethernet, Fibre Channel and InfiniBand applications up to 4Gb/s and based on the industry standard SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). This interconnection style can be found in many different hardware verticals including, media converters, switches, servers and numerous data storage units.
QSFP+ stands for Quad Small Form Pluggable Plus and was designed in parallel with the OM4 fiber optic standard to help support 40/100Gbps transmission speeds. Offering 3 times the density of traditional SFP+ ports, the system is ideal for switches, routers, and host bus adapters (HBA's) where bandwidth is essential.
QSFP+ to SFP+ cable is composed with QSFP+ modules and Nx1 twinax cables with SFP+ transceivers. QSFP+ copper cable assemblies are a low cost option for short-reach applications; where active optical QSFP+ cable assemblies use state-of-the-art technology to provide cost effective high data throughput for longer distances.
Sopto QSFP+ to 4 SFP+ hybrid splitter cables make a great cost-effective interconnect solution to IT professionals by providing much needed space for data centers and cost cuts. These cables allow you to connect your QSFP+ and SFP+ Switches and Network cards without upgrading your entire data center or storage array. They can be used for QDR infiniBand, 40 Gigabit Ethernet and 10Gigabit applications. Each QSFP-SFP+ splitter cable features a single QSFP connector (SFF-8436) rated for 40-Gb/s on one end and (4) SFP+ connectors (SFF-8431), each rated for 10-Gb/s, on the other.
We also supply 10G SFP+ Direct Attach Cables which is twinax cable with SFP+ connector are designed to work with equipment with 10G SFP+ interface to provide high performance 10G Ethernet network, using an enhanced SFP+ connector sending 10G data over one paired transmitters and receivers, over a thin twinax cable.
