Just like a four-lane highway offers the fastest vehicle traffic flow, mini-SAS offers more “lanes” for data to travel at higher speeds. This interface offers the convenience of a one-cable connection but provides four separate channels so each drive can deliver its maximum data transfer rate.
Now, with a MiniSAS 8088 controller card, one or more mini-SAS equipped external storage enclosures can be utilized for greater speed, protection, or both; compared to single-channel, multi-drive eSATA RAID or eSATA Port Multiplier solutions. External SAS cable features SFF-8088 to MiniSAS 8088 connectors with heavy- duty metal back shells.
This 4-channel Infiniband cable is constructed with high-performance cable, which features individually shielded parallel pairs, double EMI/RFI shielding, and 6.0 Gigabytes per second performance. Compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases.
Our External MiniSAS 8088 to 4×1 Mini-SAS (SFF-8088) Passive Copper Fan-out Assemblies are designed for connecting a SAS controller to four (4) individual SAS drives or other devices Environment with miniSAS connections.
Each cable features one four lane miniSAS connector fanned out to four miniSAS connectors, each with one lane connected. MiniSAS 8088 four lane, passive twinaxial copper cable assemblies were developed to support SAS Enterprise storage networking links.
These cables run at SAS 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s per lane and exceed MiniSAS 8088 2.1 requirements. These cables also support external SATA (Serial-Attached-ATA) storage networking requirements at 1.5Gb/s, 3Gb/s and 6Gb/s per lane. The low profile back shell enables easy access and removal in tight fitting areas.
