Different fiber optic connectors for different fiber optic transceivers
Different fiber optic connectors for different fiber optic transceivers. The GBIC fiber optic transceiver and the SFP fiber optic module are the common fiber optic module. The SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) fiber optical module is smaller than the GBIC module.
The SFP fiber optic module is developed from the GBIC fiber optic module and is designed to suit the number of high-density ports. And the data rate of ports is from 100M to 2,5Gbps. The GBIC fiber optic transceiver and the SFP fiber optic module both support the hot-pluggable.
The fiber optic connector is used to connect the fiber optic transceiver. And there are many types of fiber optic connectors and they doesn’t use with each other. The SFP fiber optic module uses the LC interface fiber optic connector while the GBIC module uses the SC interface fiber optic connector
