The CyOptics launched 40G QSFP + compact TOSA / ROSA

August 2, leading photonic chip and component suppliers CyOptics company announced a four-channel high-bandwidth data center and enterprise network routers and switches which adopt compact QSFP + transceiver, providing-40Gbps new series of the TOSA / the ROSA optical transceiver group items. The series expanded the CyOptics based photonic integrated circuits (PIC) technology component product portfolio.

This TOSA supplies four high reliability 4 CWDM wavelengths in the 1310nm wavelength window, integrated uncooled 10Gbps directly modulated lasers and power monitoring photodetector, optical devices. The ROSA contains 4 high reliability of 10Gbps PIN photodetector and transimpedance amplifier.

Ovum's principal analyst Karen Liu 40G QSFP + transceiver is expected to obtain a 79% compound annual growth rate in the next four years. It is one of the fastest growing segments in the field of optical components market. CyOptics the 40G component is undoubtedly one of the promoters in the market, the company shipped to the market in July this year.
