What is OM3 patch cord?

OM3 patch cord is one kind of patch cords. OM3 is a standard which is the next generation of 50-micron multimode fiber. In essence, OM3 is a new laser-optimized fiber. Its refractive index profile is optimized for the 850nm wavelength when the laser inserting. It can be used to support traditional network, but most of time are used in 10G base-SR/SW. So OM3 patch cord is a patch cord which under the standard of OM3 applied in 10G base-SR/SW.
