FTTX
FTTH – Fiber-to-the-home- fiber gets to the borderline of the life space, like a box on the external walls of a home
FTTB - fiber-to-the building or fiber-to-the-basement – fiber gets to the borderline of the building, like the basement in multi-residential units, with the end connection to the single living quarters through different ways, as same as the cub/pole skills, but may also range technology such as Thunder.
Fiber to the X (FTTX) is a general term for any broadband network manner using optical fiber to replace all or part of the usual metal local loop used for end mile telecommunications. The general term was to begin with a generalization for several patterns of fiber deployment (FTTN, FTTC, FTTB, FTTH...), all starting by FTTX but differentiated by the last letter, which is take the place of an X in the generalization.
FTTC: Fiber-To-The-Curb, the fiber optic cable installation and usage from the central office to home or office within one thousand feet on the roadside.
