100BASE FX SFP Transceiver
The SOPTO100BASE-FX SFP, is a high performance, cost effective module, operates on ordinary multimode fiber-optic (MMF) link spans up to 2 kilometers (km) long in 1310nm wavelength. SOPTO SFP 100FX modules operate in Fast Ethernet or dual-rate Fast/Gigabit Ethernet ports of switches and routers. All these modules are interoperable with industrywide interfaces compliant to the IEEE 100BASE-FX standard.
Sopto’s SPT-P3103-02(D) modules are 155M FX SFP modules with duplex LC optical interface. We can also provide DDM functions for your equipment if you need. And these 100BASE-FX SFP transceiver modules are 100% compatible with your branding devices.

The SFP transceiver is not standardized by any official standards body, but rather is specified by a multi-source agreement (MSA) among competing manufacturers.
As a practical matter, some networking equipment manufacturers engage in vendor lock-in practices whereby they deliberately break compatibility with "generic" SFPs by adding a check in the device's firmware that will enable only the vendor's own modules.
For example, in 2003 during a routine Internet Operating System (IOS) update on their Catalyst line of switches, Cisco added a feature that would cause the switch to reject optical modules that were not deemed ‘Cisco brand.
