What is a plug-type attenuator?

The plug-type attenuator also called male to female plug in attenuator is a device apart into male and female designed for different connectors, such as LC, SC, FC, ST and so on.
The plug-type attenuator usually applied in ODF (Optical Distribution Frame), fiber optical network system, high speed fiber optic transmission system and optical fiber CATV.
