Company Info
The difference between BiDi and Two fiber bidirectional
BiDi (Bi-directional) transceivers send and receive different wavelengths, compound them to one optical fiber without interference by using WDM technology.
BiDi is more expensive for there is one more WDM device; it will be a better choice for those users who is short of optical fiber recourses because it can save one optical fiber.
Two fiber bidirectional transceivers send and receive wavelengths to different optical fibers without mutual interference, there is no need of WDM and two wavelengths can be the same. The price is lower but it needs one more optical fiber, you can choose it if optical fiber recourses are rich.
The using effect of BiDi and Two fiber bidirectional is the same, users can choose either of them base on your demands.
